With nothing but Brexit stories on our news feeds for most of the past 12 months, we thought it gave us a good excuse to watch something political and break the monotony.
Cue Yes Minister. It ran for five series (morphing into Yes Prime Minister in 1986) and a special during the 1980s and is widely regarded as the best political satire that UK television has ever produced. We chose two European-themed episodes for our podcast, ‘The Devil You Know’ from Yes Minister series 2 and ‘A Diplomatic Incident’ from Yes Prime Minister series 2.
The special will form a future segment on Round The Archives run by Lisa Parker and Andrew Trowbridge.
